Virtual Walkathon
Saturday, May 1st - May 15th
We held our 1st ever virtual Walk-a-thon and Race in May. Our "Walk in the Name of Love" event allowed us to raise funds for Serving with GRACE. Your participation and donation helped us in our efforts to continue giving back to support our free community clothing and household store, as well as raise money for our scholarship program and back-to-school efforts.
Easter Basket Giveaway
Saturday, March 27th and Saturday, April 3rd
Serving with GRACE distributed nearly 150 Easter baskets to children in our community. Special thank you to all of our volunteers who helped to make it happen. We were able to put smiles on the faces of many children this year.
School Supply Distribution for Teachers
February 6th, 13th and 20th, 2021
Serving with GRACE distributed school supplies to teachers at the start of the 2nd semester of the school year. With many students headed back for in-person learning, we wanted to help in whatever way we could in what has already been a challenging school year.
We were able to distribute to almost 3 dozen teachers and at least 2 dozen schools in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties.
Our distribution is over. Our next school supply distribution will be for the 2021/2022 school year for students once they head back to school.
Essay Contest and Laptop Distribution
February and April 2021
To roll out our laptop distribution, we held an essay contest during Black History Month in February. Our contest ended on Sunday, February 28, 2021. Winners were contacted in March. We launched a second contest in April and winners will be notified in late May or early June.
Annual Toy Giveaway

Thank you to all those that donated or volunteered to help make our toy drive and giveaway a success. We appreciate every single toy and donation that was given. We were able to collect almost 200 toys!
Thanksgiving Food Distribution

Thank you to our friends at The Legacy Closet for donating food and turkeys to our organization. We were able to help families that received an unexpected blessing. We’re all in this together. And helping families is what we do!
Christmas Tree Giveaway

We concluded our distribution of Christmas trees as part of our tree and Christmas light giveaway. We are happy to have been able to shine some light in the community, during what has been a difficult season and year for most.
We were able to distribute over 160 Christmas trees to families in need! Although we weren't able to accommodate everyone that came out to our event, we were able to serve as many families that we could. Thanks to those that helped us in our mission and in our efforts to assist additional families.
2020 Back to School Giveaway
August 15, 22nd and 29th
We successfully completed our back-to-school giveaway, where we distributed backpacks and supplies over three weekends. Phew! We had to adjust our distribution this year due to COVID-19, but we were still able to distribute over 100 backpacks to those in need. Thanks to all that helped and looking forward to continuing to be a blessing to families in need.
